I've set the battery to 'saving mode' and I have deleted a number of apps that could be causing software incompatibility with iOS 10.3.4 (the last one available for iPhone 5). I have restored it to 'new', don't restore it with a backup. When I took it to a repair shop (not Apple) to replace the battery, the guy said he cleaned the whole thing, nothing wrong with it. Clean the pins on the long, narrow part of the charger that you plug into your Surface. Step 3: Wet a cotton swab in rubbing alcohol. Rub the eraser back and forth across the pins.
